Current project
Objects through Time will take you on an online journey to explore important chapters, places and events in Australian migration history and discover the people who have shaped New South Wales' culture and society.
Stephen Thompson, the Migration Heritage Centre's Movable Heritage Officer, is researching and writing statements of significance of movable heritage items for this online exhibition.
In Objects through Time, fascinating objects in Australia's migration history will feature on a timeline. Through the statements of significance, each object will provide historical evidence on the central themes of migration and settlement in New South Wales.
