The story of Jim’s life.

Jim Filippopoulos came from Pylos, Greece. It was beautiful and surrounded by water. Jim worked as a plumber. His mum Helen cooked baked beans, chips and eggs. He was the youngest in his family. He had 2 older brothers, Nick and Peter.

Jim enjoyed going to the cinema, swimming and playing soccer with his friends and brothers. He moved here because his older brothers moved here for economical reasons.

He arrived here by boat in 1972 when he was 16 years old. When he first moved here, his family bought a place in Gordon, Sydney. He said that Australia has changed from the past years. He enjoys living here and has had a lot of experiences. He has enjoyed learning to understand other languages. Jim is now married with 4 children, and loves his family and friends. He feels that Australia is his home because of his family and the beautiful weather, which is similar to Pylos. He loves the food, weather and beautiful scenery.
