Apron woven 1970, Lisolaj, Bitola

Violeta's mother-in-law made this apron for her as a wedding gift. The apron is made from coarse, thick wool and was designed to be worn everyday to keep warm in the cold winters in the village of Lisolaj, high in the mountains. The binding and ties are made from ribbon.

Height: 51 cm, width: 63 cm, loom width: 25 cm; Cotton warp, woollen weft.
